Sport

Sport is a valued and accepted part of a school's curriculum because it contributes to the development of the whole student.  It also provides opportunities for students to gain confidence and to develop a variety of skills for participation in lifelong recreation.  Sport is compulsory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The emphasis in the junior school is on participation and skill development with further refinements as the pupil progresses.  Parents are encouraged to assist with coaching and umpiring on sports days.  Pupils are expected to wear sports uniform on sports days with sandshoes or sneakers that are comfortable and safe. Summer sports conducted include softball, cricket, swimming, T-Ball, and Kanga Cricket. During the winter months the emphasis is on Hockey, Netball, Basketball, Athletics, Touch Football, Australian Rules, Soccer and Rugby League.  Protective clothing is provided where appropriate.  The school is a regular entrant in the state knockout championships in many sporting areas.

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 participate in Special Sport Program.  Special sports normally offered to students may include such things as tennis, squash, golf, fitness, gymnastics, indoor cricket, life saving and bushwalking.
