Principal's Message
On Friday, 8 May Forbes Public School celebrated the launch of our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) philosophy with our community. The parents participated in an information session led by the regional coordinator for PBL Mrs Helen Wilson and Mrs Julie Sunderland Forbes Public Schools coordinator. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a long term (3-5 year) process to create an even safer and more effective school by structuring the learning environment to support the academic and social success of all students. At Forbes Public School we have established a PBL team and have had members of the team trained in the PBL philosophy and processes. We are looking forward to the continued focus on positive learning. As part of the celebrations the students, staff and community enjoyed the opportunity to picnic in the picturesque grounds of our school. An excellent day was had by all, thankyou to the many parents who attended our information session and then stayed on for the picnic. Our next big community events will be: Education Week – 25th May – 29th May Reconciliation Week – 27th May – 3rd June P & C activity - So You Think You Can Dance! - 22nd August in the Forbes Town Hall
